Belgian Sensei visits Tullamore

SENSEI Dirk Heene, 8th Dan Shotokan ryu Kase ha, from Belgium who captained the Belgium national team for 10 years and was Sensei Kase’s Senior Student gave a course in Tullamore Shotokan Karate club recently.

SENSEI Dirk Heene, 8th Dan Shotokan ryu Kase ha, from Belgium who captained the Belgium national team for 10 years and was Sensei Kase’s Senior Student gave a course in Tullamore Shotokan Karate club recently.

Tullamore Shotokan Karate club hosted the event at their dojo in St Mary’s Youth Centre. It was organised by Sensei Colin McDonnell (4th dan) and Sensei Enda Rigney (2nd dan) who have both traveled to Belgium to train under Sensei Dirk numerous times.

In attendance was Sensei Tim Harte (5th dan) from Cork, head of the Kase ha academy in Ireland with senior members of his club, and also members of clubs from Portlaoise, Thurles and Dublin.

Sensei Dirk Regularly gives courses all over Europe, Israel and Japan and is in Ireland three times a year.

The course in Tullamore was a huge success and Sensei Dirk is already booked for Tullamore next year.
