Chart topper and now tv personality Bressie has been confirmed as one of the headline acts at this year’s Teen Aware event on Good Friday, April 6 at Charleville Castle, Tullamore.

Teen Aware is an event which commenced in 2011 to create suicide awareness. The event is solely designed for teenagers and its function is to inform teens about this sensitive subject along with offering information and access to support groups which can provide assistance.

This year the organisers have invited the Road Safety Authority to attend. Educating future road users about road safety is one of the priorities of the RSA and the organisers are very excited about them being a part of this year’s event.

The following are some details of what will be taking place on the day:

* RSA Shuttle Bus - Interactive Educational Road Safety Experience;

* Car Crash Scenario carried out by the Emergency Services assisted by Declan Keogh & Mary Flynn Road Safety Officers for Kildare and Offaly County Councils;

* Car Roll Over Simulator

* Battle of the Bands

* Suicide Awareness Support Groups

* Motorcycletraining.ie are offering professional instructors on the day who will provide information in relation to Safety;

* PTO Power Shaft Entanglement Demo by Teagasc;

* Information stands by reputable local Driving Schools.

“Teen Aware is very much an awareness day but we also want to make it an enjoyable fun day for all who attend and we are thrilled to announce we have a lot of amazing acts which will certainly bring this year’s event to an all new high. With super musicians such as XLR8, Evergreen, Hogan, Na Fianna, Frantic Jack, Mundy, Midlands 103 DJ Seanie Morris, The Original Rude Boys and Westmeath’s very own legend Bressie we invite all Teens to come and experience what’s going to be super day. Tickets Cost €10 and will be available through local outlets and participating schools,” said a spokesperson.

The Teen Aware team will be in the Bridge Centre Tullamore this Saturday, February 18 for all those who wish to purchase tickets or find out more about the event.

“We would like to thank all those who have offered support and assistance over the past few weeks and we hope to have your continued support in the future. A massive thank you also to the Fifth Year girls at the Sacred Heart School in Tullamore who are working extremely hard behind the scenes and to the Principal Ms McKenna for her continued support and assistance,” added the Teen Aware spokesperson.
