Johnny Giles will be guest speaker at Tullamore men's diamond night out
ON Friday night October 3, Tullamore men are going to experience a unique, quirky, very amusing and highly entertaining night out.
For the first time ever in this area there is going to be a lad's night out with no ladies present. Guest speaker on the night will be the legendary Johnny Giles.
The Tullamore Lions Club have received numerous requests from men around Offaly who said they were fed up with all these Ladies Lunches, fashion shows and loads of other ladies only events while they were left at home to look after the kids ,do the ironing, cleaning and washing up.
So the Lions of Tullamore have responded and they are hosting a 'men only' night out which is being held in The Bridge House Hotel. This night promises to be one of the best social events ever held in Tullamore.
The night is being run as a fundraiser and the two main beneficiaries are The Alzheimer's Society and Dochas.
The proceedings kick off at 7pm sharp where the men will receive complimentary Guinness and Carlsberg as they arrive and there will be a super Jazz session in the Hotel Foyer.
Then everyone heads to the main ballroom for a buffet dinner and this will be an experience that no one attending will ever have seen before.
We will keep this part of the night a surprise but we can guarantee that everyone will really enjoy their meal and it is advised that you are good and hungry.
During the night their will be magic, side shows, comedy by the outrageous Dave Young, surprise guest speakers, and to finish the night we will have a mighty music session with Brownie Guinan and The Briar Hotel. The MC for the night is Michael Duignan of the Sunday Game.
The Tullamore Lions Club can guarantee that everyone attending this night will have one of the best nights of their life.
One man attending this night will actually bring home their partner a Diamond worth a whopping €5000 which has being very generously sponsored by Tony Cahill Jewellers, Patrick Street, Tullamore.
The idea for the fundraiser is obviously a copy of the Ladies Lunch which is organised by Mary Cowen and Sheila McDermott.
The Tullamore Lions Club hopes that they can emulate the success that the Ladies have achieved over the last number of years. Indeed the Lions have got the full support from the Ladies and they reckon it is a great idea to run a night similar to theirs.
Tickets for the night are on sale at €100 each and we are encouraging people to organise groups of 10 to fill the tables. There is already huge demand for tables and The Lions Club believes the event will be sold out shortly.
If you are interested in attending tickets are available from the following Lions Club members, Paul Bell (087 9778225), Jimmy Feery (087 2513786), Brian Cloonan(086 3224499), Pat Nevin (0879087504) or any of the other Tullamore Lions Club members.
