TWO of Ireland’s sporting greats, Stephen Roche and Eamonn Coghlan, have joined forces to help raise funds for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

To mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of his 1987 Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and World Championship wins, Stephen Roche is hosting a week-long cycling challenge at his camp in Mallorca while Eamonn Coghlan is inviting runners to join him in the New York City Marathon to mark the twentieth anniversary of his first participation in the event.

The cycling challenge takes places in October followed by the NYC Marathon in November as part of Crumlin’s ‘Kilometres for Kids’ fundraising campaign to raise the EUR8million required to fix the cardiac and cancer units.

Further information, registration, fundraising ideas and sponsorship cards for both events can be accessed online at kilometresforkids.ie or by lo-call 1890 507508.
