Gaisce-The President’s Award is a unique non-competitive programme that encourages young adults aged 15-25 years of age to challenge themselves in four different sections of activity over a set period of time,

Over 20,000 young people participated in the award last year, 20% of all young people in Ireland now enter for a bronze gaisce award.

The four sections of the award are Community Involvement e.g. Coaching u10 football team, Personal Skill e.g. musical instrument, Physical Recreation e.g. swimming and Venture Section e.g. a Hike in the Wicklow Way

These sections must be completed over a minimum number of weeks.

Bronze takes the least amount of time to complete- approximately six months- with silver and gold getting progressively more intensive.
