Ooh aah Paul McGrath! Ireland legend to attend superstitious ‘Lad’s Lunch’

IRELAND, Manchester United and Aston Villa soccer legend Paul McGrath will be coming to the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore as part of the Tullamore Lions Club annual fundraiser ‘Lad’s Lunch’ which for those of you that are superstitious takes place on Friday, April 13.

Paul will meet guests as they arrive for a night packed with entertainment. At 6pm the ‘Lad’s Lunch’ kicks off in the foyer of the Bridge House Hotel, with live music and entertainment, samples of food from the newly opened “Balcone Italiano” authentic Italian restaurant will whet the appetites.

From there guests will be brought to the Charleville Suite where MC Michael Duignan will host proceedings.

Executive Chef Patrick Kennedy will lay on a very special Steak Dinner with all the trimmings.

A Recession Buster Auction takes place in the capable hands of Paddy Dunican and bargains are guaranteed on the night!

Comedian and impressionist Alan Shortt (who left a lasting impression at last years Lads Lunch) will be appearing between courses and is expected to bring an alter ego or two!

An after dinner interview will be held with Paul and Michael and if anyone feels they are fit to carry on free entry to “The Palace” niteclub is also included!

Following the recent success of the Tullamore Lions Club/Intel Youth Enterprise Program funds need to be replenished in order to continue and improve such community projects, however the main beneficiaries from proceeds raised on the night are two very worthy local needs.

The Resource Centre in the Tanyard, Tullamore, under the banner of Offaly ID, the Offaly Association for people with intellectual disability and the Offaly School of Special Education in Kilcruttin, Tullamore. Both facilities provide education and training at a county wide level and are providing crucial services in the community.

Tickets are priced at €60 and are promised to deliver terrific value and a great nights entertainment while supporting local needs. A monster draw will also take place on the night with prizes up to €1000 up for grabs. So why not get the lads together and get your ticket now!
