Thanks to individuals and businesses across the town, Tullamore Community Arts Centre Draw, is edging even closer to the target of raising €200,000 towards the building of the community arts centre.

Multiple tickets have been bought by Supermacs, a proud sponsor of many local community initiatives like the soccer clubs and more recently the Arts Centre. Not to be outshone, the Arts groups in the town have proven their stalwart effort in continuing this 30 year long campaign to have an Arts Centre established within the town.

However, it is only through such efforts of the Fundraising Committee and a few key players like Fionnuala Corrigan, Sheila McDermott and Mary Roche that have been lobbying the local political system over the years and laboured tirelessly and silently in the background that are making our Arts Centre a reality. More recently the backing of the mammoth draw by the master of all such draws and worthy Offaly Person of the Year Paddy Fenning, has meant that we have just about reached our target.

So dig deep for the last few weeks as the committee members busily follow up on contacts. We are within the last hundred tickets to sell and there are a few door bells and phone calls still to be made, and we appeal to all the citizens of Tullamore and of Offaly to get your tickets in for the draw on or before March 25 deadline to be processed for the Big Draw on March 30!

Communities are clubbing together between them and are putting in tickets with 10-20 people sharing with the proceeds going towards their local community group or indeed split between the members.

Arts Centre Fundraising Tickets at €100 are still available and the detailed plans are on www.tullamorecommunityartscentre.ie or find us on facebook. You could buy a ticket with your workmates or as a family so that in years to come you can be proud of the part you played in supporting your local community.
