It has become traditional now to invite some of our best to come perform at the castle for a local audience. This year we have Emily Alexander, from Gloster House, South Offaly, returning from another successful tour of opera singing Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen and Mimi in La Boheme. Emily is joined by soprano, Helen Smith, who has returned from singing the role of Giannetta, at Montalto Ligure, in “L’Elisir d’amore” but also proudly performed in a celebration of the richness of Irish talent in “Opera at the Castle” in Dublin.

This Night Before Christmas Eve at Charleville Castle is set once again to be a most unique celebration and a wonderful opportunity to get into the true spirit of Christmas.
