THERE was glitz and glamour galore as Tullamore’s fashionistas thronged the Tullamore Court Hotel for a fashion show and beauty fair in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
Tesco’s ‘every little helps’ slogan is arguably one of the most popular in marketing and last Wednesday’s hugely successful event was organised by the Tullamore Tesco Store Charity Committee.
Over €2,000 was raised on the night and this will be presented to the Irish Cancer Society, Tesco’s chosen Charity of the Year.
MC was popular Midlands 103 presenter Ann Marie Kelly and she kept the audience entertained throughout with music being provided by the excellent Luchra from Wexford, David McEvoy and Golden Discs.
Miss Offaly Tara McCormack, Tesco Tullamore staff members, their children and cancer survivors (Teresa and Mairead from the Offaly Cancer Support Group Dochas) strutted their stuff on the catwalk showcasing the latest styles.
Many local businesses availed of the opportunity to display the best beauty products they have on offer and there was also a health promotion information stand.
The Tullamore Tesco Store Charity Committee wish to thank the large crowd that attended and all involved for their generosity and support.
