All systems go for TMS’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The cast and crew of Tullamore Musical Society’s “Beauty & the Beast!” are finalising their production this week in preparation for their opening night Monday, January 16 in the Court Hotel.

The cast and crew of Tullamore Musical Society’s “Beauty & the Beast!” are finalising their production this week in preparation for their opening night Monday, January 16 in the Court Hotel.

“The past few months has paid tribute to the talent involved within the society,” commented director Christine Scarry, who has just finished directing this year’s Olympia Theatre Panto involving the confident duo Jedward. “The roles in this show are hard to fill yet the people who came forward for them proved their worth,” she added.

The auditions took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Sunday, September 5.

Director Christine and Musical Director Enda O’ Connor had the difficult task of deliberating and deciding on their cast.

The Society’s 2012 production ‘Disney’s, Beauty & the Beast’ will be staged at the Tullamore Court Hotel from Monday next January 16 to Friday, January 20 with advertisers, patrons and sponsors night on Saturday, January 21.

It promises to be lively, funny and extremely entertaining and doors open at 7.30pm with the performance starting at 8pm sharp. Late admittance will not be granted until the interval. Monday night’s performance will begin at the earlier time of 7.30pm to allow for the youngest of audience to attend without interfering too much with their sleeping patterns

It has been announced recently that a feature of the nights entertainment is a meet and greet for all children and adults alike to meet and greet Belle and the Beast.The meet and greet will take place after each performance giving attending children to meet some of their favourite Disney characters.

The society opened their Box Office in the Bridge Centre, Tullamore last Saturday. The Bridge Centre have kindly sponsored the box office to facilitate sales. The box office will be open everyday running up to the show.

Tickets are priced at €18 with concessions for Children & OAP’s at €12 for Monday to Wednesday only. Family Ticket which consists of two adults and two children is €50 for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only. Contact Ray on 085 2240669 at the Box Office.
