Offaly is gearing itself up for a return visit from the Obama family next month.

Offaly is gearing itself up for a return visit from the Obama family next month.

Reports today suggest that First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha could visit the family’s ancestral home in Moneygall while the President attends the G8 Summit at Lough Erne in County Fermanagh.

Although there is no official confirmation of a visit, Mrs Obama is understood to be keen on having her daughters visit the President’s ancestral home.

Barrack Obama and his wife received an overwhelming welcome when they visited Offaly two years ago.
