A Fashion Show with a difference will take place on Thursday, November 21 in the Tullamore Court Hotel at 7.30pm. The event has been organised by the Offaly Leader Forum.

A Fashion Show with a difference will take place on Thursday, November 21 in the Tullamore Court Hotel at 7.30pm. The event has been organised by the Offaly Leader Forum.

The Offaly Leader Forum is supported by Offaly Centre for Independent Living Ltd who provides a Personal Assistant Service to Leaders across Laois and Offaly and is funded by the HSE, the DSP and the VEC provides Education and Training for the Personal Assistants.

The Offaly Centre for Independent Living Ltd is the strongest Centre in the country and have 170 PA’s employed. The aim of the Offaly Centre for Independent Living Ltd is, ‘To empower and enable people with disabilities to achieve independent living and equal participation and inclusion in mainstream society’.

The Fashion Show will be a celebration of diversity and of all the different achievements and lifestyle choices of Leaders and their friends across Laois and Offaly.

Throughout the show, the audience will see students and employees, mothers and fathers, people of various ages and backgrounds, with and without disabilities, modelling side by side. Most importantly, the Fashion Show will highlight the abilities of people with a disability and it is hoped that partaking in the Fashion Show will boost the morale of the Leader Forum, as well as highlighting the strengths and talents of each individual Leader.
