OFFALY County Manager Pat Gallagher was accused of “coming to Edenderry with an attitude” on the subject of the location of the Emergency Dispatch Point for ambulance services. Cllr Noel Cribbin claimed that after the meeting with members of Edenderry Town Council the County Manager “left with a bigger attitude.”

The long-running issue of the location of the Dispatch Point was on the agenda of the April meeting of the Town Council.

“I know the location is a HSE issue, but there should be co-operation and sharing of resources. It is laughable that we have a purpose-built building here that staff would be happy to share. The County Manager should have come here with an open mind on the subject, but he didn’t.”

“If somebody dies in this town I know who I’ll be blaming,” he added.
