In the Festival Field in Rosenallis, the parishes of Clonaslee, Killeigh, Mountmellick and Rosenallis, collectively known as the Barrow Rise Pastoral Area (Limistéar na h Eaglaise, Ardú an Bhearú) came together for the Dawn Easter Mass.

Fr Murphy and Rev Ruth Noble from Mountmellick, Fr Walshe from Rosenallis, Fr O’Reilly from Clonaslee and Fr Stapleton from Killiegh all officiated at the Mass.

Torch bearers carried an Easter Light from the seven local churches to the Easter Fire and children carried banners from all the local schools.

The choir was a combination of all the church choirs and sang beautifully. After the Mass the congregation were invited to collect holy water. Organisers of the event are to be commended for their work in making the morning a success.
