Tullamore hotel cleared after bomb hoax

A Tullamore hotel was one of four premises across three counties cleared on Saturday night after a bomb warning was received by the PSNI and passed on to the Gardai.

A Tullamore hotel was one of four premises across three counties cleared on Saturday night after a bomb warning was received by the PSNI and passed on to the Gardai.

The call was received at around 10.30pm on Saturday night and lead to the evacuation of the Tullamore Court Hotel, The Bentley in Galway City, The Western Hotel in Claremorris and the The Planet Nightclub in Ballinasloe.

Each premises was searched following the evacuations but no devices were found.

Gardai are investigating the hoaxes and are asking for anyone with any information to contact them.
