Rate exemption for new Tullamore businesses sought

CALLS have been made for a six month rate exemption for new businesses starting up in Tullamore.

IT’S expected that Offaly VEC headquarter offices will remain open for some time and the approach to re-deployment of its staff will be “measured and considered”, according to the latest news from the Education Minister.

The Fureys & Davey Arthur make their fourth appearance in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Saturday March 3. The band was formed in 1978 literally by accident. George, Paul and Davey were playing in Denmark with their own band called the Buskers and Eddie and Finbar, while touring in Germany were involved in a road accident. When George, Paul and Davey got news of the accident they immediately travelled to Germany to be with their brothers. They then decided that they should all be playing together and this was the start of the Fureys and Davey Arthur.

Edenderry gardai are seeking assistance in relation to the attacks.

Members of the public in Edenderry have been urged to be more vigilant regarding suspicious individuals throughout the area.
