There was a frightening fire scene in a town in the Midlands this morning when the engine of a car burst into flames.
It is understood that the car was driving through Mountmellick this morning Tuesday October 2 before 9am, when it went on fire.
Laois County Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene.
The car is now opposite the T junction where the N80 turns onto the main street, with traffic disrupted through the town.
