Helpful courses at Offaly CEB

Offaly County Enterprise Board delivers a range of short training programmes to meet the needs of small businesses and start ups in the county. The Spring Training brochure has now been published and is available from www.offalyceb.ie or by phoning 057 9352971.

Examples of courses running this spring include Bookkeeping using Excel, Presenting with Confidence and Making your Website Work for You. Course fees range from just €50 to €100 but are free to anyone in receipt of Social Welfare.

Please note Facebook for Business (Beginners) booked out, one place remaining on Advanced course only. There is limited availability on some of the other courses, so the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.

Full details available from website www.offalyceb.ie.

The Skills Share mentoring programme, co-ordinated by Bord Bia, in co-operation with FDII, will help small companies formalise access to the expertise available within the industry in the key areas of strategy, account management and logistics.

The initiative is designed to encourage and share best practice and learnings between small and large food companies and represents a fantastic opportunity for companies to work together and co-operate for the benefit of the Irish food and drink industry. Mentors on the programme include Coca-Cola, Kelloggs, Flahavans, Kraft and Glanbia Consumer Foods.

The mentoring consists of four hours one to one mentoring over a period of three months.
