Offaly's Bracknagh and Laois' Rosenallis battling for Leinster glory

Offaly Intermediate Champions Bracknagh go in search of Leinster glory this Saturday when they face Laois side Rosenallis in the Leinster Junior Club Football Final at 2pm in O'Connor Park in Tullamore.

While Bracknagh will be much more familiar with their surroundings, Rosenallis are actually eight miles closer to the Tullamore venue making this a real local derby. Less than 20 miles separates the two teams.

Bracknagh made it through to the Junior Leinster final even though they lost their first round game in the Offaly Intermediate Championship against Rhode by 1-11 to 0-10.

Bracknagh bounced back beating Erin Rovers twice in the following two games, scoring eight goals in the process. In the Offaly Intermediate Final, Bracknagh defeated Shannonbride in a lower scoring duel by 0-11 to 0-5.

They have racked up wins over Stardbally, Park Ratheniska, The Heath and Graigcullen in Laois and went on to beat Bective of Meath and Castletown-Finea-Coole-Whitehall of Westmeath in the Leinster Championship.
