Offaly 5-10

Derry 2-5

The Offaly girls won the game by double scores against a Derry team who put up a stern challenge on the day.

Christine Cleary top scored for Offaly with 2-2 while Rachel Brennan also found the back of the net twice on the day while also adding a point.

Offaly’s fifth goal was scored by Lisa Gorman who finished with 1-1 while Mairead Jennings had a fine day from placed balls finishing with five points, three from frees, as Offaly recorded an impressive win.

It all bodes well for the development of the game in the county as it should help a steady flow of players into the minor and then the senior ranks as Offaly look to secure their spot amongst the top camogie counties in the country.
