Offaly and Leinster Champions Coolderry are through to play in their first ever AIB All Ireland Club Senior Hurling Final in Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day after a 3-16 to 0-17 win over Gort.

Coolderry 3-16

Gort 0-17

Played in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on Saturday, Ken Hogan’s side made the telling break before half-time with the first of three goals and they went to the break 1-10 to 0-9 ahead.

A second goal early in the second-half from Cathal Parlon gave the Offaly side a significant advantage but Gort put together a run of four unanswered points and the gap was down to a more managable five points entering the closing minutes.

However Coolderry allowed their opponents one further points while they added a third goal from Damien Murray to round off an impressive win by the Offaly champions.
