SHAMROCKS GAA Club will hold their annual ‘Colin Dunne Memorial Golf Classic’ at Tullamore Golf Club on Easter Saturday, April 7.

The event was formally launched in Kelly’s Roadhouse, Mucklagh, last Friday night and entries have already been received from numerous teams.

In addition to the usual generous prizes, the winning team will receive the Colin Dunne Memorial Perpetual Cup and a special memento, compliments of the Dunne family.

The format for the golf classic is a three-ball scramble and the entry fee is €120 per team, which includes green fees and a light lunch. Sponsorship is being accepted by the club also.

The 2010 winners were the well-known trio of Brian Gavin, Johnny Dooley and Paul Bell while last year the winning team comprised of Billy Clavin, Pat Clavin and Kevin Minnock.

Anyone wishing to enter a team or donate sponsorship may contact any member of the organising committee, which includes: Ollie Bryant (086 3287354), Liam Mooney (087 9286701), John Mollin (086 8044993), Brendan Scully (086 8174851), Paddy Guinan (086 8282741), Padraig Hannon (087 2780425) and Brendan Minnock (087 7641711).
