The Offaly minor camgie team host Waterford this Saturday in their final group game needing at least a draw to secure their place in the All Ireland Minor B semi-final.

The game is fixed for Crinkle at 1pm. There was an important result in Offaly’s three team group last weekend as Dublin defeated Waterford by 1-7 to 1-5. A win for Waterford would have secured Offaly a place in the semi-final.

Offaly have had a long lay off since their game against Dublin but training has been going well and hopes are high that the team will get the result they need to advance to the last four.

Meanwhile the Offaly Senior team have a big local derby on Sunday when they welcome Tipperary to Banagher at 2.30pm.

Both teams are looking for their first points of the year so this will be a great chance for Offaly to get their first win of the campaign.

Aidan Franks team were unlucky to lose their opener against Derry while they lost out to a strong Cork team in their second game. Tipperary have lost their opening three games against Cork, Kilkenny and Derry. This is Tipperary’s final group game so they will be hoping to finish on a winning note.
