There was little to chose between them in the first half with Rhode opening up a 0-10 to 0-7 lead late in the half but after the restart, Rhode slowly pulled away and by the midway point of the half were 0-15 to 0-9 ahead.

Niall Darby and Niall McNamee combined for 14 points as Rhode eased clear. Entering the final minutes they had extended their lead to ten and Stephen Guing’s late goal for Edenderry was little more than a consolation score.

Rhode now face their great rivals Tullamore in the County Final. Between them the sides have 51 Offaly Senior Football titles with Rhode having 25 and Tullamore having 26.
