Busy weekend for Offaly underage teams

Offaly under 16’s played Wexford in the first round of the Championship on Saturday last in Bracknagh.

This was a very competitive game with the two side giving it their all and in the end the Offaly girls came away victorious with a comfortable win. Well done to the girls and their Management team. They will play Meath in the second round away on the 16th March.

Offaly under 14’s also played Wexford on Saturday in Bracknagh but unfortunately they were defeated despite putting in a tremendous effort. They will face Longford away in the second round on the 16th March.

TESCO HOMEGROWN LADIES NATIONAL LEAGUE

Offaly Junior Ladies were all set to take on Carlow on Sunday last in the fourth round of the National League, unfortunately unable to field a team Carlow withdrew from the League, awarding Offaly the three points. Offaly are sitting comfortable at the top of the Div 4 League Table on full points. Our next game is away to Louth on Easter Sunday March 31st.

SENIOR AND JUNIOR LEAGUE BLITZ

The first round of our Blitz took place on Sunday last in a well prepared Clara GAA Grounds. It was great to see all Clubs represented on the day, round two takes place next week in O’ Brien Park, Tullamore and will start promptly at 10 am. All teams to be at pitch for 9-30am.

OFFALY FEILE COMPETITION

Offaly Feile Competition takes place this week end 09/10th March.

Group 1. St, Rynagh’s, Naomh Ciaran, Tullamore, Edenderry and Shamrock’s.

Group 2. Rhode, Naomh Molaoise, St, Manchan’s, St, Broughan’s and Clara.

First game starts at 10.30 am. Second game at 11.15am, third game 12noon, Fourth game 12.4 pm and Fifth game at 1.30pm.
