This week, Offaly Sports Partnership will be notifying all clubs on its database of the new online system announced by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport for applying for sports capital.

Known as OSCAR (Online Sports Capital Register), this shall be the new system through which communications will be made with applicants in the future.

Eamonn Henry, Coordinator Offaly Sports Partnership has stressed that while there is currently no call for a sports capital programme, it is nonetheless essential that clubs and other organizations that would wish to apply in the future should register with OSCAR in order to receive the necessary notifications.

To further help clubs to understand the new process, Offaly Sports Partnership will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday next, 22nd October at 7.30pm in O’Connor Park, Tullamore (room under the stadium). Mr. Henry added that as well as looking at the new online system, there will also be a presentation regarding the most common mistakes made by applicants to the sports capital programme. Further information can be had by contacting Eamonn Henry on 086 7948054 or by email to ehenry@offalycoco.ie.
