Offaly young guns firing on all cylinders

Congratulations and well done to the Offaly U-14 and U-16 teams who had great wins in the Leinster Championships to open their campaigns.

The U-14’s played Longford in Doon and came out comfortable winners on a score line of Offaly 2-7 Longford 0-2.  Offaly will now go onto play Kilkenny in the next round on April 7

The Offaly U-16’s played Wicklow in Edenderry. This was a much tighter game, but the girls fought hard and were deserving winners on a score line of Offaly 3-11 Wicklow 4-3.

We wish a speedy recovery to the four girls injured Aoife Brophy, Cathy Ennis, Ciara O’ Connor and Becca Gorman. Well done to the management Teams. Keep up the good work folks. They will play Kilkenny in the next round on April 7.

Congratulations and well done to the Offaly Minor Team who beat Louth on Monday in the Leinster Championship in Louth. They will play Westmeath next on April 9. Time and Venue to be arranged.

Well done to St Broghan’s who won their first U-14 Championship game against Ballycumber/Tubber on a scoreline of 7-16 to 2-1.

Offaly Senior Ladies played Louth on Saturday in Edenderry. Hampered with injuries the Offaly girls lost on a scoreline of Offaly 0-12 to Louth 2-13.
