With a mix of players with considerable experience in the senior ranks and younger players coming through the ranks, Rhode were far sharper, better organised and had a greater desire. By the midway point of the first-half they had opened up a 1-6 to 0-1 lead and there was never any real prospect of a Raheen revival.
