THE Molloy Environmental Systems Offaly GAA U-21 hurling championship semi-final line-up is complete after Seir Kieran Og defeated Coolderry by 2-9 to 1-8 in a keenly contested quarter-final replay on Saturday afternoon in Clareen.

Coolderry led by 1-5 to 1-3 at half time with Adrian Hynes netting Seir Kieran Og’s goal after three minutes and Andy Connolly striking back for Coolderry in the 22nd minute.

Hynes ended the hour with a personal haul of 1-6 (0-5f) and Shaun Dunne’s 38th minute goal helped Seir Kieran Og, for whom Offaly panellist Thomas Carroll was very influential, to a narrow 2-9 to 1-8 victory. Connolly finished with 1-4 (0-3f) to his credit.

Seir Kieran Og’s reward is a semi-final place against reigning champions St Rynagh’s, while Kilcormac/Killoughey and Shinrone meet in the second penultimate round tie.
