Allianz NFL Division 4

Limerick 1-13

Offaly 1-12

A goal from John Riordan late in the game proved crucial as Offaly let a winning position slip from their grasp.

With the wind in the first-half, Limerick built a 0-6 to 0-3 lead but a penalty from David Hanlon pulled Offaly back into it before the break.

Limerick did turn around a point ahead thanks to a late Eoin Hanrahan point but Offaly showed character in the second half and got their noses in front entering the last ten minutes.

However with the game their for the taking, it was Limerick who struck for what turned out to be a match winning goal. Anton Sullivan, who finished the day with four points, got Offaly back within one but time ran out before they could snatch something from the game.
