Kilcormac/Killoughey’s captain Ciaran Slevin picks up AIB Leinster Player Award

AIB GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi Finalists; Kilcormac-Killoughey, Thurles Sarsfields and Loughgiel Shamrocks have received a boost ahead of their crucial club ties this weekend with the news that key players from each of their clubs will receive an AIB Provincial Player Award.

Ciaran Slevin (Kilcormac-Killoughey), Pádraic Maher (Thurles Sarsfields), and Eddie McCloskey (Loughgiel Shamrocks) have each been honoured for the first time, with the awards due to be presented in Dublin on Tuesday 5th March.

Kilcormac/Killoughey captain Slevin’s scores have been the driving force behind the club’s run to historic first Offaly and Leinster titles.

Prominent performances in the 2012 AIB GAA Provincial Club Hurling campaign earned the awards due recognition for the players who are in action this weekend in the AIB GAA Senior Hurling Club Championship Semi Finals.

All winners are selected by GAA media around the country based on who they deem to have had outstanding performances in the AIB GAA club championships for the previous year.

The winners of the AIB Provincial Player Awards in Football will be announced next week and all seven award recipients will be presented with their awards at a function in the Radisson Blu St.Helens Hotel, Stillorgan on Tuesday , March 5, where two Coaching & Games Development award winners will also be recognised.
