THE hunt is on for a new Senior Football manager in Offaly after it was confirmed that Tom Cribbin has informed Offaly County Board Chairman Pat Teehan that he will not be seeking a further term as Offaly Senior Football Manager.

Mr Teehan thanked Tom for his contribution to Offaly football over the past three seasons saying it was always all about Offaly with Tom and never about himself.

Cribbin took over after Richie Connor stepped down at the start of the league in 2009.

During his tenure Offaly have remained in Division 3 although they did show glimpses in the qualifiers of what they were capable of, most notably with their victory over Monaghan this year. However the campaign ended disappointingly with a defeat to Limerick.

A seven person committee has already been put in place to make a recommendation for the appointment of a new manager.
