Kilcormac/Killoughey’s Ciaran Slevin named Offaly Senior Hurler of the Year

KILCORMAC/KILLOUGHEY captain Ciaran Slevin has been named as the Offaly Senior Hurler of the Year for 2012.

KILCORMAC/KILLOUGHEY captain Ciaran Slevin has been named as the Offaly Senior Hurler of the Year for 2012.

Slevin lead Kilcormac/Killoughey to their first ever Senior Hurling title with a win over St Rynagh’s in the County Final. His scores have been vital to the side’s success and he will be hoping to continue that form when they fave Oulart the Ballagh in the Leinster Final this Sunday.

It was one of two hurling awards for Kilocrmac/Killoughey as Cillian Kiely was named as the Minor Hurler of the Year. Dan Currams completed a hat-trick for the club as he was chosen as the Junior Footballer of the Year

The Intermediate Hurler of the Year was Lusmagh goalkeeper Eoin Kelly. Lusmagh made an immediate return to the senior ranks this year.

Shinrone’s Conor Doughan was chosen as the Junior Hurler of the Year with Under 21 Award going to Stephen Quirke of St Rynagh’s.

All Star Sheila Sullivan has been chosen as the Camogie Player of the Year.

1985 All Ireland winning captain Pat Fleury will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
