Wicklow travelled to Ferbane with a lofty reputation after a big win over Wexford and a narrow defeat to Dublin in the record books from their two outings so far, but Offaly showed immense potential in certain patches of this game and while there were plenty of areas where manager Brian Gavin will seek improvement in the coming weeks, overall the final margin of seven points was a fair reflection of the difference in ability between the two teams.
