C-Class being sold here from January are being equipped to varying degrees, depending on model choice, from a range of extras worth some €4,500, which will be added without any price increase.

Badged Edition C, features being added include AMG body styling in front and rear aprons and side sill panels on Avantgarde models.

Adding to its ‘after eight’ allure is a radiator grille with inset star and fins finished in high gloss black, 17-inch light alloy wheels - also highlighted in high gloss black, dark tinted headlamps and chromed exhaust pipe ends.

Interior changes include new Edition-C sports seats covered in Artico leather upholstery with fibre inlays and contrasting top stitching, matching door panels and gear selector.

Other notable features include a luxury nappa leather 4-spoke steering wheel with 12-function buttons, dark aluminium trim. a multifunction colour infotainment display set within the instrument cluster, black fabric headlining, velour floor mats with contrasting topstitching and split folding rear seats.

Standard items also include Parktronic and the drowsiness detecting Attention Assist feature.

Describing the Edition C package as ‘one that injects added appeal into what has been a very successful model range’, their sales manager for passenger cars in Ireland, Ciaran Allen said Mercedes-Benz were adding value to a model range of a kind that will enhance the enjoyment and satisfaction owners will get from their purchase.
