Peugeot’s versatile 5008 mid-size people carrier has been given the update treatment for 2014. The French car maker’s MPV gains a comprehensive makeover, bringing it into line with the rest of the range of recent models that includes the 208, 2008, New 308 and 3008 Crossover.
The car’s update features external changes to enhance the visual appeal of the practical seven-seater. It also includes external and internal upgrades, a higher specification, new equipment and revised pricing.
Key to the 5008’s appeal is the latest Peugeot family ‘face’ with the front grille that’s already a feature of the recently-launched Peugeot 208 and 2008. It’s flanked by redesigned headlamps with LED detailing.
Nine colours are available along with extra chrome trim around the windows. Alloy wheels are available from 16-inch to 18-inch, plus the introduction of a new 17-inch diamond Anthra Grey wheel design.
Enhanced specification is now available at every level and though there is a small price increase; £200 on Access, £300 on Active and £350 on Allure trim levels, Peugeot claims the updated specification, when combined with the re-styled exterior, easily outweighs the extra cost.
