One of the most eagerly-awaited social occasions in West Offaly, “An Evening of Fashion”, will take place this coming Thursday, the 11th of October, in Gallen Community School.
The event was a huge success when it was run before and next week Ferbane GAA, in association with Gallen CS, will host the event which will feature a Cocktail Reception, a Trade Exhibition and a Fashion Show.
The Trade Exhibition starts at 7pm and all aspects of modern fashion, beauty and design will be covered, with local artists and professionals demonstrating and selling a wide range of arts, crafts, beauty & fashion accessories.
Those attending will also have the chance to win one of the many raffle and spot prizes that are available, while there will also be a Best Dressed award on offer for those who really want to make an extra effort!
The Fashion show begins at 8pm and will showcase fashions for all age groups, ladies and gents, while there will be eight local retailers and one large shopping centre all represented. Local models will be in action, while there will also be a chance to see the “Junk Couture” range that has been crafted by students from Gallen CS. Dolan Photography will be capturing the event on film, while Moores Nursuries are kindly decorating the catwalk.
Vice-Chairman of Offaly GAA and renowned fashion critic Padraig Boland will MC on the night, while the school canteen will be open on the night providing tea, coffee and snacks. Tickets are a very reasonable €10 for what should be a great night of entertainment and they can be obtained by contacting any of the senior players or by contacting Lisa Doyle at (087) 7462290 or Martin Dolan at (087) 9821692
