THE Modern Homes & Building Exhibition in Tullamore Retail Park from January 27 to 29 was a great day out for all the family where a crowd of 15,000 visitors attended over the three days.
They arrived with their house plans and met with the professionals with the expertise and advice for building, extending or renovating the home.
Tullamore Retail Park was an ideal venue to host the exhibition as it had all the facilities required for the show.
It was an excellent way to view the latest products and services available relating to every aspect to the house and home and a chance for visitors to thoroughly explore the items and services with trade professionals who had vital first hand knowledge to share.
There were lots of bargains, including special discounts on offer by most exhibitors every day.
The winner of the door prize of a €500 gardening voucher kindly sponsored by Lougman Landscaping, Fairfield, Killmurry was Sean Egan, Leabeg, Ballycumber and the winner of the Children’s competition to have Sylvano the Magician come and perform at their next birthday party was Gillian Fogarty, Park, Killeigh.
The winner of the Midlands 103 competition of Beech Hall Table and Mirror value €600 hand crafted and made by Karl Gill Woodturning, Killcooney, Geashill was Declan Gibson, 82 Whitefield, Station Road, Portarlington.
The organisers also awarded a prize for the best hand crafted stand at the show and the winner was Karl Gill Woodturning and the winner of the best overall stand was Liam Grant Wood Design, Colt, Ballyroan.
