A revised version of Suzuki’s popular Swift supermini is now in showrooms. Building on the success of the outgoing model, the new Swift offers more style, value and economy.
The latest Swift is slightly larger than before, with an increase in the wheelbase, length and height, adding substance to its proportions as well as increasing the amount of space in the cabin. The three trim levels are now SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4, with all models benefiting from seven airbags, ESP, electric front windows, remote central door locking with deadlocks, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, CD tuner with USB port and steering wheel mounted audio controls.
Under the bonnet the Swift can now be specified with a new 1.2-litre petrol engine that claims to be the most efficient petrol engine in the class. Despite offering an impressive 93bhp it can achieve a remarkable 56.4mpg combined and only 113g/km of C02, sufficient to qualify for £30 annual Vehicle Excise Duty. A revised diesel version will follow in early 2012.
