Cornwall-based dealership Dales Seat has created a special version of the Mii city car that has proved so popular it is available to special order.
The Mii ‘Miinx’ is based on the Mii Sport with the 1.0-litre 75PS engine as standard, but adds an eye-catching pink gloss vinyl wrap matched to tinted lights for a highly individualised look.
Dales Seat then took to Twitter to come up with a name and although ‘Miinky’ found favour, ‘Miinx’ was eventually settled upon.
“One thing’s for sure - the Miinx is a car that always provokes a strong reaction, good or bad,” said Tom Rawlings.
“We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to the special edition since we launched it. From the day we first parked it outside our showroom, people have made a point of coming in to tell us what they think.
“The car’s also divided opinion on Twitter. I tweeted a photo and within minutes hundreds of people were commenting about it. But we couldn’t believe it when people from all over the place started calling the dealership to enquire about the car. We’ve obviously done something right,” he added.
Such is the interest that Dales Seat are taking orders, with a recommended price of £11,500. Dales also plan to give £100 to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity for every car sold.
The Miinx gets all the standard equipment on a regular Mii Sport including alloy wheels, sports suspension and air conditioning, plus the Seat Portable System as standard.
