The New Citroën C4 Picasso has won the 2013 Golden Steering in the MPV category. The readers of Bild am Sonntag, Auto Bild, and a number of associated magazine titles from across Europe including Auto Express in the UK, voted for their favourite cars of 2013 in a number of categories.
A panel of automotive experts then chose the final winners with the C4 Picasso coming first in its category.
The Citroën C4 Picasso has four key strengths in the MPV segment: strong and expressive styling, a light and spacious loft-inspired interior, a range of new technologies for well-being and a line-up of highly efficient engines. It introduces the new PSA Peugeot Citroën Group EMP2 platform, which delivers a weight reduction of up to 140kg compared to the previous generation models. It is also the first vehicle to feature new BlueHDi engine technology that complies with the Euro 6 standard through its Selective Catalytic Reduction system - the only technology to sharply reduce NOx emissions (by 90%) while also cutting CO2 emissions.
Since launch the Citroën C4 Picasso has proved extremely popular on the Irish market and has recently been shortlisted for the Continental Irish Car of the Year 2014. The new Grand C4 Picasso goes ‘on sale’ in Ireland in January 2014.
