Tullamore meeting to focus on dairy

Offaly IFA are holding a Dairy Meeting in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore on Wednesday April, 18 at 8.30pm.

Guest Speakers on the night will include Catherine Lascurettes Executive Secretary IFA Dairy Committee and Board Members from all local Co Ops.

Catherine will focus on Milk Price and Market Outlook for the next six months with quotas due to be abolished in 2015 and with great optimism for the future of the Dairy Sector in the County. Farmers will be looking to expand under the Food Harvest 2020 Programme.

Board Members from Co Ops have a vital role to play in the next few years to make these ambitious plans happen and a good debate will take place on this issue.

Chairman of Offaly Dairy Committee Fergal O’Sullivan is urging all Dairy Farmers and Farmers who may wish to enter the industry to attend.
