Offaly winners in restaurant awards

ThERE were some familiar names among the local winners in this year’s Regional Restaurant of the Year Awards which were presented in Dublin recently.

Nominations for the awards were made by readers of the Sunday Independent LIFE Magazine and members of the Restaurants Association of Ireland.

Leinster regional Irish Restaurant of the Year award 2012 winners are:

Customer service - Sirocco’s, Tullamore; Gastro Pub - The Thatch, Crinkill, Birr; Casual dining - Emma’s Café, Birr; Hotel & Country House Restaurant - The Windmill Restaurant at the Tullamore Court Hotel; Chef - Jamie Owens, Jamie’s Restaurant, Tullamore; Restaurant - Sirocco’s.
