Offaly chippers get battering

EIGHT Offaly chippers are getting their friers ready for National Fish & Chips day on Wednesday, May 30.

92 per cent of people are self confessed fans of ITICA National Fish & Chips Day, with 78 per cent celebrating with a ‘one and one’ last year.

All Irish Traditional Italian Chippers Association (ITICA) members in Offaly will offer their customers half price Fish & Chips to reflect the 126 year old tradition during the third annual ITICA National Fish & Chips Day.

The eight Offaly ITICA members are; Macari’s Cafe, O’Connell Street, Birr; Angelo’s Take Away, 1 High Street, Tullamore; Golden Fry, 57 JKL Street, Edenderry; Luigi’s, 36 JKL Street, Edenderry; Roma Grill, Church Street, Tullamore; Macari’s, Market Place, Tullamore; Angelo’s Take Away, Main Street, Banagher and Tony’s Cafe, Connaught Street, Birr.
