Glen Wood scores Aviva Stadium contract
TULLAMORE company Glenn Wood has secured a major contract to fit out a large portion of the new state of the art Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
The company was shortlisted out of a panel of twenty-two tenders for the work on the old Lansdowne Road.
After a successful interview and inspection of previous works, the contract was awarded to Glenn Wood working in a joint venture with one of Irelands most successful and long established building firms John Sisk & Co.
The project entails the manufacture and install-ation of approximately one hundred bar/retail counter units. The manufacturing process was carried out in their new premises at Axis Business Park, Clara Road, Tullamore.
"The project in completion state is for opening in May 2010, and has been of immense importance and value in that it not only maintained employment but created additional jobs.
In addition we take great pride in the fact that the contract has provided a life line to other companies and services which have had a long working relationship with Glenn Wood Tullamore," commented Jim Ryan, Managing Director of Glenn Wood, Tullamore.
