Ferbane / Banagher Macra members put on their walking shoes and took to the canal banks of Tullamore on a beautiful sunny afternoon recently to take part in the charity walk in aid of Dochas which was organised by Tullamore Macra.

The group enjoyed supporting this very worthy cause and want to sincerely thank Tullamore Macra for a great afternoon.

Mark Egan has been chosen as the Offaly Spartan and thanks to all of those who voted for him, shared his link and put up with the links everyday on Facebook. Congratulations to Mark and best wishes in the marathon from all in Ferbane Banagher Macra.

Good luck to Emer Dermody in the Blue Jean and Country Queen Festival.

Also Kate Ryan and Tom Needham will compete in the National Dairy Stock Judging. This competition will take place in conjunction with the IHFA Open Day taking place on the farm of Tom and Maura Murphy, Jenkinstown, Co Kilkenny on June 20.

Finally congratulations to Ferbane Banagher Macra’s own Michael Stephens on his recent engagement to Mary Guilfoyle.
