TULLAMORE’S Bridge House Hotel has added yet another accolade to their trophy case with a Gold Award in the 4-star hotel category at the IASI (Irish Accommodation Services Institute) Awards, which took place in Sligo on Saturday, January 28.

The hotel also came 3rd out of 36 4-star hotels in Ireland in the overall Ireland Supreme Award.

The IASI Awards are the only awards in Ireland that are exclusively based on accommodation standards including cleanliness in public areas, bedrooms, corridors and public toilets.

Judging took place in October 2011 with each property requiring a higher score of 80% in order to pass.

The Irish Accommodation Services Institute, formerly the Association of Hotel Accommodation Management, was founded in 1985.

It was formed by a group of people who were working in different fields within the Hospitality Industry as a forum to promote standards and share experiences.
