AIB have announced the renewal of their title sponsorship agreement with Irelands’ Premier Show, the Tullamore Show & AIB National Livestock Show.

The deal was announced in Agriculture House, Dublin recently, when the Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mr Simon Coveney, welcomed AIB representatives, including John Webb, Head of Business Banking in AIB and members of the Tullamore Show Executive, including Chairman, George Gill and Freda Kinnarney, Secretary.

Celebrating its 21st year, the show is scheduled this year for Sunday, August 12 at the Butterfield Estate, on the outskirts of Tullamore.

AIB as title sponsors, have had a long and successful association with The Tullamore Show, first becoming involved with the event in 2003.

Situated on 250 acres of show grounds with 20,000 free car spaces, this year’s show promises to break the phenomenal records achieved in 2011, where over 650 trade stands and 60,000 people attended this major national event. Speaking at the launch,

Tullamore Show Chairman, George Gill, said that they were ‘delighted to be continuing their wonderful association and continued support from AIB’.

John Webb, Head of Business Banking at AIB said AIB are delighted to commit our support to the Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show, for a further three year period.

“We are looking forward to working with the Tullamore Show Executive to further develop the show over the next three years. We have a long and proud association with the agri sector and we are committed to supporting the sector into the future.”

Despite the current economic trials, agriculture has bucked the trend, performing well despite the many challenges farmers and processors face.

The show is a special place for the farming community, visitors, children, young & old, who gather to enjoy the country air and the very best of Irish culture and Agriculture.

On-line entries will be an option again this year as they proved to be a great attraction last year when initiated. All information will be available at www.tullamoreshow.com.

A full schedule of classes will be available from Show Headquarters or online after Thursday, June 14. The closing date for competition entries is Friday, July 20.

Trade Stand applications are filling up fast at present, with the closing date for trade applications being Friday July 6.
