A WIDE range of events will be held in Tullamore’s Main Street next month to promote awareness of the architectural heritage.

Titled ‘ENGAGE with architecture’, it is an initiative of the arts, heritage, conservation and planning sections of Offaly County Council and was funded by the Arts Council and the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

It will include everything from making jigsaws of buildings to inserting a fantasy building in a local street.

The Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council, Cllr Danny Owens, said that it would be a ‘fantastic month’, while Arts Officer Sinead O’Reilly looked forward to fun events.
