CELEBRATING twenty years, this year’s Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show will take place on Sunday, August 14 at the Butterfield Estate.

Since its revival in 1991, the Tullamore Show is now established as Ireland’s Premier Agricultural event.

Last years show broke all records with over 55,000 people in attendance. This one day annual event is the highlight of the summer for the farming community and is the ultimate country lifestyle showcase. Its success has ensured the position as one of Ireland’s major attractions and the programme of events include cultural, commercial and competitive interests, ranging from livestock, equestrian, home industries, inventions, vintage, fashion, style and performing arts.

At the National launch this week, organisers of the event indicated they will shortly be announcing details of a number of new developments to this year’s show.

Chairman, George Gill said “I am delighted with the progress the show has made over its 20 year history and we anticipate a huge number of entries again this year.”

Commenting at the launch Michael Dowling, Head of Agri Strategy at AIB said “Tullamore is the premier livestock event of the year and, on a wider front, is a showcase for much that is best in rural Ireland. AIB is delighted to be associated once again with the show as the sponsor of the national livestock events”.

The trade exhibition area alone will feature over 650 trade stands, covering all areas of interest, from agriculture, home, garden, food and machinery. Trade applications for the show close at the end of June and the schedule of classes will be available from mid June.
